The SJHL has announced its weekly award winners, and Yorkton Terriers forward Jye Zawatsky has been named the Canterra Seeds Saskatchewan Player of the Week.
The Yorkton product had a big week on the Terriers’ top line, putting up five points in two games with a goal and four assists. After spending past seasons behind veteran players, Zawatsky has stepped into a larger role this year and continues to be one of Yorkton’s most consistent producers.
Other award winners include Estevan’s Ewan Rennie as MVP of the Week, Nipawin’s Brendan Olson as Forward of the Week, Hudson Gainer as Defenceman of the Week, and Gage Roberts as Goaltender of the Week. Flin Flon’s Finn Werner was named Rookie of the Week.
