YORKTON – The Legacy Co-op Santa Claus Day Parade has become something of an official kick-off to the holiday season in the city.
And with the warm temperatures Sunday it was a hugely popular event as many crowded Broadway Street to spy the brightly decorated floats.
The Parade – which boasted some 70 entries – was the culmination Santa Claus Day in the city, an event of the Yorkton Business Improvement District.
The day began with a free pancake breakfast with Santa at the Yorkton Fire Hall, and then a free Christmas movie matinee at the Tower Theatre.
