Rhett Platt ended things quickly in overtime, scoring just 52 seconds into the extra frame to lift the Portage Terriers to a 2–1 win over the Swan Valley Stampeders on Saturday night.
Swan Valley struck early when Riley Fequet found the back of the net 4:34 into the first period, but Portage answered late in the frame as Breck Hirrschoff tied the game with 2:08 remaining.
Terriers goaltender Mitchell Kathler turned aside 33 shots to earn the victory, while Easton Falls made 23 saves on 25 shots in the OT loss for the Stampeders.
