The Melville Millionaires have now won four of their last five, edging the Melfort Mustangs 2–1 on Saturday to sweep the home-and-home set.
Rookie goaltender Matt Spencer-Dahl stayed perfect to start his SJHL career, stopping 28 shots to improve to 4–0 with a 1.00 goals-against average and a .964 save percentage.
Jackson Lee scored the third-period winner at 12:50, and Grady Carmichael added the other Mils goal. Logan Peskett opened the scoring for Melfort early in the first.
In Yorkton, the Terriers earned a weekend split with Kindersley thanks to a third-period winner from Gabriel Courchesne and 26 saves from Callum Creig in a 2–1 decision.
Courchesne and William Leonard each posted a goal and an assist, while Luke Ridgway replied for the Klippers. Yorkton hosts Estevan on Tuesday.
Humboldt’s Jacob Strizzi tied a career high with five points, including a hat trick, as the Broncos rolled past La Ronge 9–4.
Strizzi has nine points in his last three outings and is now tied atop the league scoring race with Estevan’s Ewan Rennie, who sealed a 3–1 Bruins win over Warman with an empty-netter. Nathan Kam made 31 saves and Matthew Ronn scored the game-winner late in the second.
In North Battleford, Kaeden Serpa made 35 saves and Anthony Campbell added three assists as the North Stars beat Weyburn 5–3. Carter Geysen buried the deciding goal with under five minutes remaining. The teams meet again Sunday in Weyburn.
And at the Whitney Forum, Landon Alexander scored twice as the Flin Flon Bombers earned a weekend split by defeating the Nipawin Hawks 5–2. Devin Peck made 30 saves for his 11th win, while Mason Karkochuk scored both goals for Nipawin, snapping the Hawks’ six-game winning streak.
