The Melville Millionaires have won three straight and earned points in six consecutive games following a convincing 5–1 road victory over the Estevan Bruins on Friday night.
The Mils opened the scoring just one-sixteen into the first period when the power play broke through. Yi-Bin Yoo tapped home a rebound off a Dylan Adams shot for his second of the season. Melville doubled the lead at the 12:35 mark as Louis Nadeau capitalized on his own rebound, scoring his first of the year to give the Millionaires a 2–0 edge after twenty minutes.
Melville pulled away in the second period. Matthew Edwards finished off a feed from Yoo for his fourth of the season, and newcomer Hudson Binner beat Adams five-hole with just seven-and-a-half seconds left in the frame to make it 4–0.
Estevan got on the board early in the third, as Ewan Rennie scored his league-leading 22nd on the power play at the 6:21 mark, but Wesley Olson iced the game with an empty-net goal with 4:10 remaining.
Noah Sinagowitz turned aside 26 of 27 shots to earn the win. The Millionaires return home Saturday night to host the Bruins in the back half of the home-and-home, with puck drop set for 7:00 for Melville’s Teddy Bear Toss game.
Elsewhere Friday night, Callas Pierce scored twice as Weyburn strengthened its grip on first place in the Viterra Division with a 7–4 road win over Warman. The two teams meet again Saturday in Warman.
In Battlefords, Finlay Klippenstein scored the game-winner in the third period, added an empty-net goal to complete the hat trick, and led the North Stars to a 4–2 win over Flin Flon. Kaeden Serpa made 39 saves in the victory.
And in Humboldt, Avery Lowe tied the game with just over four minutes remaining before Connor Miller scored the winner two minutes later, as the Broncos rallied to defeat the Melfort Mustangs. Austin Shepherd and Cooper Atkinson scored for Melfort, which has now dropped three straight.
