STURGIS — The Sturgis Composite School annual Christmas concert production was held on Dec. 17. Family and friends braved the snowstorm to watch their children and classmates perform.
Karley Buchinski and Allie Babiuk were the mistresses of ceremonies for the afternoon. Val Hallick accompanied students on piano.
Buchinski gave the welcome address, followed by the Kindergarten and Grade 1 students who performed a song, Little Snowflake and a Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree dance.
The Grade 2 and 3 classes performed two rhythm routines to the March from the Nutcracker done with paper plates; and a bucket drumming routine to Trepak from the Nutcracker.
The Grade 4 and 5 classes performed a play, Home Alone.
The Grade 5 and 6 band students performed Good King Wenceslas and Ode to Joy under the direction of band instructor Nathan Seghers.
Allie Babiuk gave the closing remarks.
