CENTRAL SASKATCHEWAN — There's more snow coming for parts of Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada says heavy snow is expected Friday night, with total amounts near 15 cm covering areas around Saskatoon, Outlook, Canora, Melfort, Tisdale, Hudson Bay and Nipawin.
The snow will begin Friday evening and intensify overnight says the federal environment agency, adding that the snow will taper off through the day on Saturday.
Travel will likely be challenging. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
Environment Canada advises drivers to be prepared for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If driving, turn on your lights, slow down and maintain a safe following distance.
Most of the roads in the area are already partly snow-covered and are experiencing swirling and drifting snow, so drivers would be wise to check the Highway Hotline for the conditions in their area before heading out.
