SASKATCHEWAN — A variety of road conditions can be found across Saskatchewan Saturday as snow has continued to fall in many areas.
The Saskatchewan Highway Hotline has deemed some roads not recommended for travel, particularly south of Maple Creek and north of Yorkton.
Check the Highway Hotline before venturing out.
The southern third of the province is under alerts by Environment Canada for either fog or blowing snow, and in some cases both. There are also some areas still under a snowfall warning.
Across the province, there are a total of 258 yellow alerts.
According to Environment Canada, many parts of Saskatchewan are experiencing well below freezing winter conditions, with highs generally below –10 °C and overnight lows often below –25 °C in central and northern areas, coupled with serious wind chill factors.

Saskatoon

Very cold conditions today with extreme wind chills, especially this morning and overnight.
Regina

Cold and dry with periods of wind making it feel significantly colder than the air temperature.
The Battlefords

Below-seasonal temperatures with light snow or flurries and sharp wind chills.
Prince Albert

- Low: approximately −25 °C
Snow at times today with wind chills approaching the −30 °C range.
Moose Jaw

- Low: approximately −23 °C
Cold prairie conditions with blowing snow possible and notable wind chill effects.
Estevan

High: approximately −11 °C
- Low: approximately −22 °C
Slightly milder than much of the province, but still well below freezing with cold overnight lows.
