ENDEAVOUR — Brad Romanchuk, Mayor for the Village of Endeavour was excited to announce improvements being made in 2025 for the Village.
“Improvements in the village highlighted a major change with additions to the former legion hall property. It was sold to the Roughrider Snowmobile Club. They are planning on building a shop on the property to repair, maintain equipment, and create a headquarters in Endeavour. The village is turning into the epicentre for the snowmobile trail grooming operations and also ATV activities. The club is exploring fundraising programs to help with the building and operational expenses.
"Council has been busy investigating possible water system upgrades to be compliant with water security agency regulations, as there seems to he some confusion as to what is required. We are pushing ahead with our inquiries.
"The rink complex is keeping busy with the conversion of the curling rink into an archery range called the Prairie to Pines Archery Club, organized by two very committed village residents. Due to the lost interest in curling, the Rec Board had decided to sell rocks and ice resurfacers. It’s a difficult but logical decision.
"The skating rink is now operational, thanks to a couple of volunteers who flood and run the Zamboni to maintain a fine ice surface. General skating times are Fridays 7 p.m.-9 p.m.; and Sundays, 2 p.m.-5 p.m. with fees posted at the rink.
"The rec board again wishes to acknowledge the generous donations from the Crossroads Credit Union and Gateway Co-op.
"The Endeavour Community Complex, which houses cold storage, hall and kitchen rentals, has proven to be a busy and viable facility. There is now a walking club organized as well.
"The Village of Endeavour continues to be a vibrant, welcoming community,” concluded Romanchuk.
