PUNNICHY — Another court appearance has been made by a Muskowekwan First Nation man on charges stemming from the shooting of an RCMP officer on the reserve.
Last July, an incident in the community involving a firearm left an RCMP officer with non-life-threatening injuries, and a dangerous person alert was issued for 28-year-old Elijah Albert, who was captured a short time later in a rural area near Lestock.
Albert appeared in Punnichy Provincial Court Feb. 3 on four charges, including attempted murder and uttering threats.
He remains in custody and will be back in court Feb. 17.
