A Minnedosa man has been charged with uttering threats and pointing a firearm, following a weekend incident in Rapid City.
Just after 1 a.m. on Feb. 15, Spruce Plains RCMP responded to a report of an individual pointing a gun at a couple at a Rapid City home, threatening to shoot them.
Upon investigation, Mounties say two men arrived at the home, and one of the men began arguing with the couple, leading to that man pointing a shotgun at the couple, before the two suspects fled the scene.
Police tracked the suspect to a Minnedosa home, executing a search warrant that led to the seizure of a replica firearm, homemade firearm parts and ammunition, while 26-year-old John Moffat was arrested and remains in custody.
