A Dauphin man faces a number of weapon charges, following his arrest in the city.
Around 10:15 p.m. on Mar. 2, Dauphin RCMP patrolling Main Street South, came across a man who was breaching court-ordered curfew conditions, and he was arrested for failure to comply with a release order.
During the arrest, Mounties found a knife in his hoodie pocket, and upon searching his backpack, they discovered a prohibited rifle, a magazine, and drug paraphernalia.
27-year-old Jayden Palamar remains in custody, on a total of eight charges including unauthorized possession of a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon, unauthorized possession of a firearm and weapons possession contrary to an order, along with four counts of failure to comply with release order conditions.
