Is it time to grow out my hair and facial hair? Don’t worry, I’m only kidding… well, mostly.
I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and came across one of those filters that completely changes your look. This one gave me long flowing hair and a full beard. Let’s just say it was quite the transformation!
For most of my life I’ve stuck with short hair and very little facial hair. Part of that is by choice, and part of it is because I’m not exactly blessed in the beard-growing department. Even if I could grow a big beard, I’m not sure I’d want to deal with all the upkeep that comes with it. Short hair and a clean shave just seem easier.
That being said, those filters sure are fun to play around with. It’s funny how a simple filter can make you look like a completely different person. Sometimes they make you look 20 years older, sometimes 20 years younger, and sometimes they give you a hairstyle you’d never even consider in real life.
When I saw the long hair and beard version of myself, I had to laugh. I’m not sure if I looked more like a rock star, a mountain man, or someone who had just forgotten to visit the barber for a couple of years. Either way, it definitely gave me a good chuckle.
So now I’ll put the question to you. What do you think? Should I grow out the hair and beard, or should I stick with the short and simple look?
Something tells me the filter might be the closest I ever get to that mountain-man style… and honestly, I’m probably okay with that!
