A man from The Pas, charged in connection with a shooting in the community, has admitted his guilt.
Last March, RCMP responded to a home, where they found two males in the basement; one with a serious gunshot wound.
An injured 16-year-old boy was given first aid at the scene, before being taken to hospital.
The other man, 24-year-old Jaxon Mayer, was arrested.
In The Pas Provincial Court yesterday (Mon), Mayer pleaded guilty to careless use of a firearm, and criminal negligence causing bodily harm.
He was sentenced to 556 days in jail, going forward.
