Do you ever feel like you’re living inside a snow globe?
Lately, it honestly feels like someone keeps picking it up and giving it a good shake just when we think winter might finally be settling down. One minute it’s calm, maybe even a hint of spring in the air… and the next, boom—instant winter wonderland like we’re in the middle of December again.
This morning was a perfect example. You look outside and everything is covered—fresh snow, swirling flakes, that quiet, frosty stillness. It would almost be magical… if we hadn’t already seen it about a hundred times this year.
Don’t get me wrong, the first few snowfalls of the season are great. They make everything look clean and bright, and there’s something peaceful about it. But by this point? The magic has definitely worn off. Now it just feels like winter overstaying its welcome.
So to whoever is in charge of shaking the snow globe… I kindly ask: please set it down.
We’ve had our fill. We’re ready for melting snow, muddy boots, longer days, and that first real stretch of sunshine that actually feels warm. Spring is knocking, and we’d really like to answer the door.
Until then, I guess we’ll just keep watching the flakes fall—again.
