YORKTON – Sentencing has been handed down to a man found guilty after a fatal two-vehicle collision near Wapella.
Zachory Taylor, 22, of Codette, was sentenced on three charges, including impaired driving causing death.
In Yorkton Provincial Court April 17, he received 1,628 days in prison, to be followed by a six-year driving prohibition.
In September of 2024, Moosomin RCMP received a report of a crash on Highway 1, about two kilometres east of Wapella.
A semi-unit and a truck had collided, and a 22-year-old Grande Prairie, Alta., woman, who was a passenger in the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene.
