Trevor Bartel joined the Preeceville Fire Department on July 15, 2000. Trevor quickly became an integral part of the department, showing hard work, an eagerness to learn, and devotion to public safety. On January 1, 2006, Trevor was appointed as Fire Chief of the Preeceville Fire Department. Over the past 20 years, Trevor has taken on the complex responsibility of leading the department and has done it with integrity, courage, and compassion. Trevor oversees every aspect of the department, and with his tireless work over the years, our department has grown stronger, better equipped, and more prepared to protect the public safety of the residents of our community. Advancing fire fighting training for the members, performing equipment maintenance and repairs, improving safety standards, mentoring new members, teaching fire safety to youth, volunteering safety services at community events, enforcing fire safety bylaws, log keeping, and budgeting—Trevor does it all to ensure the department is prepared for any challenge they may face and to ensure our community is safe.
Over the years, Trevor has attended and led our team through numerous fire and rescue calls. Trevor has been faced with many difficult situations, long nights, hard decisions, and much time away from his family. Throughout this, his dedication and commitment never waver. He is always there to answer a call for help and has made our community safer for it.
We honor and commend Trevor's leadership, wisdom, and resilience. He truly pours his heart and soul into his job. We appreciate and are very thankful for all the sacrifices, seen and unseen, that Trevor has made over the years for the safety of others, concluded the release.
