PUNNICHY – A Kelliher man arrested after a kidnapping with a firearm incident in the town has appeared in court again.
Adrian Frank, 31, was in Punnichy Provincial Court April 21 where he was remanded in custody to May 5.
Punnichy RCMP say on March 19, suspect pointed a firearm at a man, who was sitting in a parked vehicle outside of a Kelliher business, and ordered the victim to drive him to the George Gordon First Nation.
When two people there tried to assist the victim, the suspect allegedly broke a vehicle window and deployed bear spray at them.
A search of the suspect and the vehicle turned up a sawed-off firearm, ammunition, two cans of bear spray, a machete, a baton, about 36 grams of crystal meth, 24 grams of fentanyl, and 6 grams of magic mushrooms.
