The Ag Transport Coalition reports week 39 saw performance decline very modestly from the prior week, with CN and CPKC Rail combined, supplying 84% of shipper orders, compared to 85% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.
A tale of two railways this week however, with CN seeing performance decline while CPKC saw performance improve.
System performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a fifteenth consecutive week, and remains above the 80% threshold for a third straight week, and the fifth time in the last six weeks.
In supplying 80% of cars ordered by shippers in week 39, CN saw performance decline notably from the 88% order fulfillment performance seen in week 38.
CN performance remains below the 90% threshold for a fourth straight week but at 80% or better for a sixth consecutive week.
Meanwhile, in supplying 88% of shipper orders, CPKC saw performance improve from the 81% order fulfillment performance seen in week 38.
CPKC performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a fourteenth straight week and remains above the 80% threshold for a third consecutive week, and the fourth time in the last five weeks.
