SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN — A wind warning is in effect for much of southern Saskatchewan.
Environment Canada issued the alert in the morning of May 11. The advisory covers the cities of Regina and Moose Jaw, as well as communities in 110 RMs in southeast and south-central Saskatchewan.
The warning states wind gusts of at least 90 kilometres per hour are expected through the afternoon, particularly within and near thundershowers.
"These strong, gusty winds should taper off later this evening," Environment Canada said in the warning.
Local utility outages are possible, the alert says.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
