REGINA — A new court date has been set for a former Yorkton man charged with manslaughter in the death of a one-year-old girl in Regina.
Bailey Peepeetch, 25, was originally arrested for aggravated assault in October 2020, but the charge was upgraded when the girl died two days later.
Peepeetch had his case heard May 12 in Regina Court of King’s Bench, where it was adjourned to Sept. 15.
Regina police say the investigation began when officers were called to a hospital for a report of a critically injured child and that the injuries were suspected to be the result of physical abuse.
