PUNNICHY — Another court appearance has been made by a Kelliher man arrested after an alleged kidnapping involving a firearm in the community.
Adrian Frank, 31, appeared in Punnichy Provincial Court on May 19, where he was remanded in custody to June 2.
Punnichy RCMP say that on March 19, the suspect pointed a firearm at a man who was sitting in a parked vehicle outside a Kelliher business.
Police allege the suspect ordered the victim to drive him to George Gordon First Nation.
When two people there tried to assist the victim, the suspect allegedly broke a vehicle window and deployed bear spray at them.
A search of the suspect and the vehicle allegedly turned up a sawed-off firearm, ammunition, two cans of bear spray, a machete, a baton, about 36 grams of crystal meth, 24 grams of fentanyl and six grams of magic mushrooms.
