A sea of white is coming to Mosaic Stadium.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders have unveiled a special one-game uniform, the Prairie Blizzard, a fresh take on the club’s traditional road whites, which will debut when Saskatchewan hosts the Toronto Argonauts in Regina.
With the unique scheduling quirk of the Roughriders wearing white at home as the Argos are the home team, the organization saw an opportunity to create something fans haven’t seen before.
“When we found out that we would be hosting a Toronto home game at Mosaic Stadium and therefore wearing white at home, we worked quickly with our partners at New Era to create something special for fans,” Director of Retail Operations Mark Habicht said. “The inspiration behind the design was to create a fresh white version of the Club’s iconic logo, eliminating the black entirely to place the full emphasis on the Roughriders’ core colours.”
The Prairie Blizzard design strips back the traditional look and leans fully into the club’s green-and-white identity.
The custom white logo appears throughout the uniform, on the sleeves, pants, and helmet, creating a consistent look from head to toe. White jersey numbers outlined in green complete the alternate design.
The special look will only appear once, making it one of the more unique uniform releases in recent Roughrider history.
To mark the occasion, the club announced a post-game “jerseys off our back” promotion where game-worn jerseys will be handed directly from players to selected fans in attendance. Winners will be contacted by email before halftime.
