The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed National receiver Vyshonne Janusas to help offset key injuries to their pass-catching unit.
Janusas steps into a receiving depth chart that’s without Kian Schaffer-Baker and Sam Emilus to long-term knee and ankle ailments, respectively. Schaffer-Baker missed last Friday’s 42-20 win over Ottawa, whereas Emilus has sat out the last two contests.
Janusas appeared in 12 games with the Calgary Stampeders during the 2025 and 2026 seasons, recording four catches for 26 yards. He was selected 38th by Calgary in the 2025 CFL Draft.
Janusas played 16 games for the University of Guelph Gryphons before beginning his CFL career. He recorded 66 receptions for 928 yards and eight touchdowns over his final two seasons. He was named Guelph’s MVP in 2024 after posting 37 receptions for 546 yards and three touchdowns in eight games.
Over his university career, Janusas also had 26 kickoff returns for 755 yards, averaging 29 yards per return, including a 109-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
