YORKTON — The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce has announced Baker Tilly SK LLP as the platinum sponsor for its 27th annual Chamber Business Dinner, with Saskatchewan media personality and former Regina police chief Evan Bray set to serve as the event’s keynote speaker.
The dinner will take place Oct. 7 at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre.
Christina Young, managing partner of Baker Tilly SK LLP, made the speaker announcement during a media event hosted by the chamber.
Young said the accounting and advisory firm was proud to support the event and help bring Bray to Yorkton. Baker Tilly SK LLP has roots in the region dating back more than a century, having first established operations in Yorkton before expanding to Saskatoon in the 1980s and Emerald Park in 2024. Today, the firm employs more than 80 people across its locations.
“We’re very pleased to support the chamber and the business community through this event,” Young said.
Bray spent nearly 30 years in policing, including seven years as Regina’s chief of police, before moving into broadcasting. Organizers say his experience working with governments, community groups and residents across Saskatchewan gives him a unique perspective on leadership and the province’s future.
Chamber executive director Juanita Polegi said Baker Tilly’s long-standing commitment to both the chamber and the wider community made the firm a natural fit as the platinum sponsor.
“Baker Tilly has been a strong supporter of the chamber and many community initiatives over the years,” Polegi said. “Their sponsorship demonstrates the value they place on bringing the business community together.”
Polegi said Bray’s experience in broadcasting and policing should make for an informative presentation, adding that organizers have asked him to share his perspective on Saskatchewan’s economy, policing and broader issues affecting communities across the province.
“Anyone with an interest in hearing Evan Bray is welcome to attend,” she said. “We’re looking forward to welcoming a variety of businesses and community members.”

The Yorkton Chamber of Commerce has represented the local business community for 128 years and currently serves more than 400 member businesses. In 2018, the organization received accreditation from the Chamber Accreditation Council of Canada.
