The Ag Transport Coalition reports the new grain year began with performance having improved from the prior week, although with CN still lagging CPKC considerably.
System order fulfillment performance in week 1 was 88%, an improvement from the 84% performance seen the prior week, but falling short of the 90% performance threshold for a fourth straight week.
In supplying 77% of cars ordered by shippers in week 1, CN saw performance improve from the 71% order fulfillment
performance seen in week 52.
CN performance remains below the 80% threshold for a fourth consecutive week.
Meanwhile, in supplying 98% of shipper orders, CPKC performance improved from the 94% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.
CPKC performance remains at 90% or better for a fourteenth consecutive week.
