MEADOW LAKE —Replacement of the Highway 304 bridge near Meadow Lake began on-site work on Aug. 4 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
The existing bridge needs to be replaced because of spring flood damage, according to Sask. Highways.
Also in the Meadow Lake area, Highway 903 Waterhen River Bridge was recently completed. The replacement project, at an estimated cost of $5.9 million began June 4.
A new bridge was needed because the existing one was nearing the end of its service life.
On the Trans-Canada Highway 1 in the Grenfell and Wolseley area, an estimated $2.4 million project will see seven culverts installed at various locations between the two towns. The project is expected to begin the week of Aug. 17 and be completed this fall.
Traffic lanes on this twinned highway may be reduced during construction to safely accommodate the work.
Project timelines are always subject to weather.
