STURGIS — Sturgis Meats reopened for a fresh start under the new ownership of Troy Penner. Penner, who is originally from Saltcoats and now resides in Preeceville, has more than 10 years of experience in custom processing of domestic and wild game and has perfected a great sausage recipe.
He helped process animals on his family's farm and continued to pursue it as a career. He has two separate coolers, which allow him to safely accommodate both domestic and wild game.
Despite just opening his doors, he has already processed a few animals. He is looking forward to a busy hunting season and will be available anytime to accommodate hunters and their trophy game animals. He can be contacted at 306-614-0357.
