MELVILLE — Melville & District Agri‑Park is hosting its fourth annual Ranch Rodeo in partnership with Broken Squair Ranch.
The two‑day event, running Aug. 29 and 30, promises a full slate of ranch‑style competitions, youth events, and community entertainment. Saturday’s lineup features team branding, doctoring, sorting, wild cow milking, a calf scramble, and the popular women’s bloomer race. Teams can enter for $200, with a $50 deposit required.
Alongside the rodeo action, visitors can browse the gear and art show from noon to 5 p.m., enjoy the beer gardens, and take in open‑mic performances. Saturday also includes the Melville Mayhem Meat Goat Show.
Sunday’s program shifts to youth events, with barrels, poles, breakaway roping, steer riding, and a fun event starting at 1 p.m. Mutton busting kicks off at 2:30 p.m. Entry fees range from $10 to $40 depending on the event, and registration is available online through the Agri‑Park website.
Admission is $5 per day, with children 10 and under free.
Organizers say the weekend celebrates ranching traditions and community spirit, offering something for spectators and competitors alike.
