Looks like Winnipeg has a touchdown after a third-down plunge by Perkins that gets free and goes 23 yards into the end zone. It's call back due to holding, but Winnipeg still gets the first down. 6:34 left in the first half after the Riders catch a huge break.

An 11-yard run by Conley is called back due to an offside, Bridges has a catch that is knocked loss by a hit as he lands. Djete has a 13-yard catch up to the 43 and the Riders punt. Ball goes out at the 34, Winnipeg ball on their own 44 to start their next drive.

Touchdown Winnipeg. One play later Nield gets wide open on a busted coverage and walks untouched into the end zone. It's his first touchdown with the Bombers. Four plays, 72 yards, 7-0 Winnipeg with 12:34 to play in the first half.

Welp, that's a weird one. Trevor Harris catches a pass from Trevor Harris for one yard. A pass is blocked and bounces right to the Riders quarterback, and he catches it before being immediately tackled. Riders punt, Winnipeg ball on their own 26 to close out the first quarter.

Holy cow. Winnipeg completely forgets to block Sanders and he gets through to Collaros for a nine-yard loss. Bombers punt, Riders get the ball back on their 36 with 2:18 to play in the first.

Riders have a first down called back due to holding and then take another holding penalty on the very next play. It all leads to a punt, Winnipeg starts their first drive on their 33. Not the kind of start the offence was hoping for, to say the least.

Riders get a first down and on the next play air it out down the sidelines for Bridges. It looks like Tejada has pass interference as he doesn't look back at the ball. Mace challenges, but the play stands. Riders lose a timeout and have no more challenges in the game with 12:35 left in the first quarter.

Here are Luc's Three Keys to the Game for Saskatchewan:
1 – Same heat, different pressure. Collaros was wary in the second half of the blitz and will be looking for it this time, so change it up but keep coming.
2 – Nick Demski is back, be ready. Know the downs when they’ll be looking to go to Demski on the field and be ready to deal with Winnipeg’s dangerous receiver.
3 – Play a clean game. It’s going to be loud so no offsides or procedures, stay penalty free and don’t shoot ourselves in the foot.

Riders quarterback Trevor Harris said he was looking forward to some cooler weather as the season progressed, and he’ll get his wish today. Temperatures in Winnipeg will be around 14 C at kickoff and it’s going to be breezy in Dawson Hodge’s debut, with winds out of the northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. There’s also a 30 per cent chance of showers throughout the game.

The Rider Broadcast Network pregame show is on the air, with Teagan Witko and Wes Cates joined by a host of special guests in the lead-up to the game. Dave Thomas and Luc Mullinder will then have the game call at kickoff at 2 p.m.

It’s the second biggest game of the regular season, it’s a match-up between the biggest rivals in the CFL’s East Division, it’s the Saskatchewan Roughriders taking on the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the Labour Day Classic rematch!
The two teams are coming off an absolute barnburner in the Labour Day Classic last weekend at Mosaic Stadium, as the largest crowd in the building’s history saw Saskatchewan take a 32-26 overtime victory.
The game had plenty of drama, first when Zach Collaros engineered the game-tying drive with less than a minute left on the clock and then when Tommy Stevens scored his third touchdown of the game to give Saskatchewan the lead in overtime and for good.
The contest was a coming out party of sorts for Riders receiver Dhel Duncan-Busby, as the reigning CFL Player of the Week had 10 catches for 148 yards, career bests in both categories. Quarterback Trevor Harris shared the award, but we’ve become pretty used to his numbers: 23-of-33 passing for 362 yards, a touchdown and no interceptions.
The biggest change in the lineup for Saskatchewan comes at kicker, where Dawson Hodge will make his debut in place of Alex Hale.
Perhaps the biggest difference heading into the contest comes in the standings. Last week, a Winnipeg win would have moved them into a tie with Saskatchewan for second in the East Division. This time around, the Riders have an 8-4 mark and are looking to chase down 9-3 Edmonton for first place in the East. Winnipeg, on the other hand, is now tied for fourth place at 6-6 and are looking in their rear view mirror at last-place Calgary, who are only one win behind.
One thing that’s for certain is it promises to be another spectacular environment at Princess Auto Stadium and almost certainly another fun and entertaining game!
