REGINA, Sask. — Tuesday, a delegation of international representatives from Canada's Diplomatic Corps arrived in Saskatchewan.
While in the province, the delegation will learn about Saskatchewan's role in global food and energy security, according to Sask. Trade and Export Development.
The mission will run from Oct. 6 to 8.
This mission is hosted by Global Affairs Canada, which partners with provinces to promote economic opportunities across the country to diverse foreign markets through diplomatic missions.
The mission includes representatives from Bulgaria, Cameroon, Ghana, Ireland, Kenya, Kuwait, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Slovenia, Tanzania, Zambia and others.
While in Saskatchewan, the delegation will meet with provincial government representatives, Indigenous leaders, educational institutions, research and innovation organizations including:
- The Canadian Light Source;
- Clean Energy Technologies Research Institute;
- George Gordon First Nation Wicehtowak Solar Project;
- Saskatchewan Research Council;
- Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization;
- Wanuskewin Heritage Park; and
- Post-secondary institutes.
