The Ag Transport Coalition reports system order fulfillment performance declined slightly for a second consecutive week last week, with CN and CPKC Rail combined supplying 87% of shipper orders.
While overall system performance changed only slightly, there was once again significant divergence in performance for the two railways.
System performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a second consecutive week.
In supplying 78% of cars ordered by shippers in week 9, CN saw performance decline from the 82% order fulfillment performance seen in week 8, with performance having now declined for two straight weeks.
CN performance remains below the 90% performance threshold for a second straight week, having now achieved that mark only once in the last eleven weeks.
Meanwhile, in supplying 95% of shipper orders last week, CPKC performance declined very slightly from the 96% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week.
CPKC performance remains at 90% or better for a second straight week.
