PREECEVILLE, Sask — The canola crop fundraiser for the Preeceville Community Hall bathroom renovation was seeded in June and harvested on Oct. 8 by the Corwin Tonn crew.
For the seeding process, Tyler Myhr of Pioneer Priority Seeds donated the Roundup Ready canola as well as the herbicide that Myhr Farms provided with Taylor Sliva from the Tonn Farms who sprayed for weeds prior to seeding it. Sliva also picked up the fertilizer.
The fundraiser crop located on the outskirts of Preeceville will benefit the Preeceville Community Hall bathroom renovations. John and Carol Holizki of Hoterra Farms donated the land again for the fundraiser.
The Corwin Tonn crew, along with Brian Myhr (Nathan Myhr drove the combine) provided all the harvest work and trucked the canola to the elevator.
