REGINA, Sask. — The Crown sector continues to demonstrate effective fiscal management and operational efficiency, according to a report tabled by the Crown Investments Corporation (CIC).
According to CIC, the Crowns are delivering the second lowest utility costs in Canada.
The CIC has tabled the Crown sector's 2025-26 Payee Disclosure Report with The Standing Committee on Crown and Central Agencies. The report lists sector payments for the period between April 1, 2025, and March 31, 2026. The Payee Disclosure Report details Crown sector spending.
On behalf of the Crown sector, CIC provided $68 million in dividends to Saskatchewan's General Revenue Fund in 2025-26. These funds help the government to deliver on its priorities in health care, education, social services and other key areas, the report states.
Crown procurement of goods and services totaled $2.1 billion, with $1.5 billion awarded to Saskatchewan suppliers, including $152 million to Indigenous suppliers, an increase of $26 million from 2024-25.
According to CIC, the investments and economic activities of Saskatchewan's Crown corporations support the delivery of safe, reliable, high-quality services and strengthen local economies across the province.
The sector provided $35 million in grants, contributions, donations and sponsorships, that supported post-secondary students, community initiatives and not-for-profit organizations, including STARS and the sector-wide Indigenous Bursary Program.
Employing more than 11,000 people across Saskatchewan, Crown corporations provided remuneration of just over $1.3 billion to their employees, an increase of $43.4 million over 2024-25.
