FORT QU’APPELLE — A new court date has been set for a male teen arrested in connection with a death on the Star Blanket Cree Nation.
On Feb. 18, File Hills First Nations Police Service was called to a report of a homicide at a home on Star Blanket.
Officers found an adult male dead and arrested a male teen at the scene.
Police note the accused and the victim were known to each other.
The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was in Fort Qu’Appelle Provincial Court on April 16, charged with second-degree murder. He was remanded in custody to April 30.
