REGINA – Premier Scott Moe is officially re-upping as a candidate in Rosthern-Shellbrook in the next provincial election.
The Saskatchewan Party has confirmed on social media that Moe will be officially nominated at a nomination meeting in Shellbrook later tonight, April 23. It means Moe will be the first Sask Party candidate nominated for the next provincial election expected in the fall of 2028.
"Looking forward to it – both the nomination and the next election," posted Moe on the X platform.
Moe has represented Rosthern-Shellbrook since 2011 in the Legislature and the riding is considered one of the safest Saskatchewan Party seats in the province.
The Saskatchewan Party had indicated during their convention in Saskatoon last fall that they would get a jump on nominations in 2026 so that they would have candidates in place well before the 2028 provincial election.
