The Flin Flon Bombers are celebrating one of their most familiar voices receiving one of the league’s highest honours.
Play-by-play broadcaster Rob Hart has been selected to the 2026 SJHL Hall of Fame, recognizing more than 25 years behind the microphone calling Bombers hockey.
Hart has been the soundtrack of the Bombers through every era—championship pushes, rebuilds, and everything in between—bringing the atmosphere of the Whitney Forum to listeners far beyond Flin Flon. His calls have captured the biggest moments, the overtime thrillers, and the emotion of a community deeply tied to its hockey club.
Beyond the broadcast booth, Hart has also become part historian and part storyteller for the organization, preserving the moments that have shaped the franchise across generations.
Hawks Lock in Kozun as Long-Term Leader Behind the Bench
In Nipawin, the Hawks are committing to stability and continuity.
The team has signed head coach and general manager Tad Kozun to a two-year contract extension.
A former Hawk himself, Kozun played in Nipawin before moving on to the NCAA and later a professional career in the ECHL. He returned to the organization in 2021 as an assistant coach and quickly moved into the head coach and GM role.
Since then, he’s helped guide the club through steady development, focusing on both on-ice performance and long-term program growth.
Kozun says he’s excited to keep building with the group and continue pushing the program forward.
