Embarrassing someone on their birthday never gets old! I’ve done it to Danny Ismond multiple times, and I managed to do it a few years ago to the boss. But honestly, I NEVER remember people’s birthdays.
I can’t remember what I did last night, let alone someone’s day of birth. So when a certain person, who shall FOREVER remain nameless, reminded me that it was Mr. Bazin’s birthday today … it was music to my ears!
The GX94 Midday Show was all about him today.
I interrupted our staff meeting with a cake that had only sweet things written on it, and of course a really off key rendition of Happy Birthday that I lead.

Happy Birthday to a great boss, who taught us announcers that the number one rule of radio is to have fun and piss around. Even when it’s at the Boss’ expense. I’m still going to have a job on Monday, right?
