Third-year quarterback Jack Coan is slated to start under centre when the Saskatchewan Roughriders take the field Monday against the hometown Calgary Stampeders in the first of two CFL preseason games for the club this year.
As listed on the team’s depth chart for the game, released Sunday morning, Coan will be backed up by Tommy Stevens and Brayden Schager.
Five starters from the lineup that won Saskatchewan the 112th Grey Cup in November are also slated to start Monday’s game: Left tackle Payton Collins, right guard Jacob Brammer, punter Jesse Mirco, linebacker Antoine Brooks Jr. and halfback DaMarcus Fields.
Presumptive 2026 placekicker Jonathan Kim will start in that role, while USports Canada West conference player of the year Daniel Wiebe will start at wide receiver, and the country’s top university offensive lineman from 2025, Erik Andersen, will back up Zack Fry at left guard.
Kickoff Monday is scheduled for 1 p.m.
You can catch the game on the Rider Broadcast Network, starting with the Countdown to Kickoff at 10 a.m.
