SASKATCHEWAN — For the third straight night, a frost advisory is in effect in Saskatchewan, but this time the warning is for a much larger area.
Environment Canada issued the alert at 3:30 p.m. on May 18. It covers the cities of Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Moose Jaw, the District of Lakeland, and communities in more than 100 RMs.
Residents are asked to cover up plants, especially those in frost-prone areas.
Frost advisories are issued between the Victoria Day long weekend and the Labour Day long weekend in the southern Prairies when overnight lows are expected to drop below 0 C.
Similar advisories were also issued May 16 and 17 for some areas in western and central Saskatchewan.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
