CANORA – Mother’s Day this year was a special day for both the moms and the children who participated in the Mother’s Day special craft event held at the Golden Age Centre in Canora. Kathleen Young welcomed all those in attendance, while wishing mothers a Happy Mother’s Day.
The May 10 event allowed provided plain flower pots for everyone to decorate with their own unique artistic flair.
In addition to the store-bought supplies, participants also had the option of utilizing organic paint stamps made out of potatoes and bok choy to create unique images on their pots.
After the paint dried, artists had the pleasant task of choosing between geraniums and petunias to plant in their pots before taking them home.
Sponsorship support was provided by the Seventh Day Adventist Church and the Canora Public Library.
