SOUTHERN SASKATCHEWAN — For the first time this year, Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for southern Saskatchewan.
The agency said daytime highs in the low to mid 30s, combined with overnight lows in the high teens, are expected for the remainder of the work week.
The warning covers the cities of Regina and Moose Jaw, and communities in 152 RMs.
"Take action to protect yourself and others; extreme heat can affect everyone's health. Determine if you or others around you are at greater risk of heat illness. Check on older adults, those living alone and other at-risk people in-person or on the phone multiple times a day," Environment Canada said in the warning.
SaskToday will have updates as they become available.
