BUCHANAN — Treasure hunters, families and community supporters will soon converge on the Village of Buchanan for the highly anticipated Spring into Summer Community Trade Show and Garage Sale.
The massive community-wide event is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., centred at the Buchanan Community Centre.
The event features a packed house at the community centre, where more than 40 eager local vendors are set up to showcase a diverse range of items, crafts and customized products.
Beyond the walls of the community centre, the entire town is getting involved with a community-wide garage sale. Shoppers looking to map out their bargain-hunting route can pick up official garage sale maps at the Buchanan Co-op and Buchanan Community Centre.
Organizers are emphasizing that this is a family-friendly affair and are encouraging residents to bring the kids. Youth-focused entertainment throughout the day will include face painting, cotton candy and a variety of children's games and activities.
A partner in this year’s festivities is the Buchanan Wildlife Federation. The local branch will be stationed at the Buchanan School to host the kid-friendly games and activities.
In addition to keeping the younger crowd entertained, representatives from the organization will be on site selling official Buchanan Wildlife apparel alongside memberships for the Saskatchewan Wildlife Federation.
