The Yorkton Terriers have continued to add to their roster for the 2026-27 SJHL season, signing defenceman Kyler Zulyniak of Cartier, Manitoba and forward Nathan Ramos of Maple Ridge, British Columbia.
Ramos joins the Terriers after recording 13 goals and 31 points with the Vancouver NE Chiefs U18 AAA program this past season. The centerman says Yorkton’s reputation made the decision an easy one.
“I was drawn to Yorkton because of the strong hockey culture, great coaching staff, and the opportunity to compete at a high level every day,” said Ramos. “I think this environment will really help me develop my overall game, become a more complete player, and continue growing both on and off the ice.”
Meanwhile, Zulyniak arrives after spending the past three seasons with the Interlake Lightning U18 AAA program, where he collected 52 points in 137 career games.
Terriers Head Coach and General Manager Emery Olauson says Zulyniak brings size, toughness and leadership to the lineup.
“Kyler is a big, physical defenceman who brings a lot of grit to the game,” said Olauson. “We like his physicality, and he’s very comfortable playing both the right and left side. He served as a captain for his team, and we believe he’ll be a great addition to both our dressing room and the Yorkton community.”
