GOOD SPIRIT LAKE — Visitors to Good Spirit Lake Provincial Park will have plenty of opportunities to celebrate Canada Day on July 1, with Saskatchewan Parks planning an afternoon of family-friendly activities at the Main Beach.
Festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will feature a mix of games, crafts and interactive challenges designed for all ages.
Throughout the day, park-goers can stop by a self-guided activity area featuring outdoor games, bubbles and Canada Day-themed giveaways.
The schedule also includes a patriotic craft session where participants can create their own Canada Day-themed tic-tac-toe game, followed by cupcakes in the early afternoon.
Visitors looking for a little competition can test themselves in the Ultimate Canuck Obstacle Quest, an activity featuring a variety of physical challenges and races.
Later in the day, families can get creative by making a Canada Day-inspired cloud dough craft to take home.
The celebration will conclude with the Provincial Passport Pursuit, a team activity that challenges participants to collect stamps representing provinces from across the country.
All events are scheduled to take place at the Main Beach unless otherwise specified. Saskatchewan Parks is encouraging those planning to attend to register ahead of time.
