SASKATCHEWAN — With the inclement weather, many Canada Day celebrations scheduled for July 1 are being cancelled or postponed, but the Village of Stenen will continue its tradition in grand style by serving pancakes and sausage to many hungry community and area members.
The community volunteer Fire Department, assisted by many other community volunteers, will be responsible for preparing and serving the breakfast.
The breakfast will be held at the Stenen Hall from 8 am to 11 am.
The Crystal Lake Recreation Committee has also been forced to move their outdoor beach concert indoors. The concert planned for July 3 will now be held at Stenen Hall on July 3. Jake Vaadeland and the Sturgeon River Boys are a Canadian country, bluegrass, folk, and traditional country singer-songwriter from Cut Knife, Saskatchewan, who performs with his band The Sturgeon River Boys. Vaadeland has quickly risen to prominence in the Canadian roots music scene, blending traditional country, 1950s rockabilly, and bluegrass into a high-energy, storytelling-driven style.
