A new court date has been set for a man, charged in connection with a historical sexual assault in western Manitoba.
In June. 65-year-old Vincent Tacan was committed to stand trial in Brandon Court of King’s Bench, and he made an appearance there July 6, where his matters were adjourned to Sept. 17.
In May of last year, a female victim notified the Virden RCMP that she had been sexually assaulted in 1984, when she was under the age of 16, and that the suspect was 24 at the time.
In November, Mounties arrested Tacan, and charged him with sexual assault.
