As road construction season continues across Saskatchewan, the province’s Highways Minister is reminding drivers to be careful around work zones, noting the province’s investment in several projects that are either underway or upcoming.
Kim Gartner is urging patience, attentiveness and driving for current road and weather conditions, to ensure road workers and motorists get home safely.
Gartner also noted a trio of current and upcoming projects, including work on Highway 13 in the Ogema area, Highway 16 near Maymont, and on Highway 47, near Springside.
Work on Highway 47 kicked off on July 15, and will see more than eight kilometres of the road resurfaced, from the Highway 16 junction heading north.
Work on the $1.9 million project expected to wrap up by the fall, weather permitting.
