A new court date has been set for an Ebb and Flow First Nation man, charged following a high speed chase the began in the community, and ended in Alonsa.
On Apr. 27, Mounties from the Ste Rose du Lac detachment located a suspect on Ebb and Flow, wanted for multiple offences, and tried to pull his vehicle over.
Instead, the suspect took off, leading to a chase that saw the driver avoid several spiked belts, before proceeding into Alonsa, where the driver stopped on Church Road North.
After trying to flee into the bush on foot, a police dog was used to capture the suspect.
23-year-old Blair James Racette was in Dauphin Provincial Court July 28, where he was remanded in custody to Oct. 5.
