Three people die in rollover on George Gordon First Nation

GEORGE GORDON FIRST NATION — The Saskatchewan RCMP says three people are dead and two more suffered injuries in a rollover on the George Gordon First Nation.

According to an RCMP news release, on Aug. 2 at approximately 2:55 a.m., the Punnichy RCMP received a report of the rollover on Grid 640. Officers responded along with the STARS Air Ambulance. 

Three occupants of the vehicle were declared dead at the scene. They have been identified as a 42-year-old woman and two 43-year-old men, all from George Gordon First Nation. Their families have been notified.

Two occupants of the vehicle were transported to hospital by EMS with injuries described by the RCMP as minor.

Punnichy RCMP continues to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.

According to the RCMP, as of Aug. 2, 2026 at 2:45 p.m., there have been 53 fatal collisions with 66 fatalities on roadways policed by the Saskatchewan RCMP in 2026.
